A Week of Exhibitions, Conferences & Networking in the USA
What a busy couple of weeks it’s been! We’ve hardly stopped this past week with another packed diary attending both the 2016 TLMI Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Florida as well as SuperCorrExpo 2016 in Orlando.
“We’re delighted to have attended both TLMI and SuperCorr this year,” says Esterlam’s Commercial Director Neil Hailey. “It’s important to us to have face-to-face opportunities to meet our clients and agents as well as be on hand to offer our technical support and advice. We met up with our contacts old and new as well as introduce a whole host of new customers to our advanced doctor blades series – we’re now really busy shipping out samples to new enquiries.”
The Esterlam technical team regularly attend conferences and exhibitions worldwide showcasing their leading doctor blades to a global audience.
“At SuperCorr this year we joined Pamarco and Absolute Engineering on the booth and offered technical support and advice to the team that were there i.e. John Burgess, John Rastetter, Mikah Thorne, Frank Greene, Anne Lander and from Absolute it was great to see Antony Whiteside and Bill Gemp. So good to have such a huge amount of experience and knowledge and be able to pass this to all the new customers and existing customers too. We’re very proud of our products and since we created the world’s first doctor blade over 40 years ago, we still continue to go from strength-to-strength.”
With attendees from 70+ countries, SuperCorrExpo opened in the new show location in Orlando and is a once-every-four-years opportunity to show off leading machinery, equipment and supplies. It is the most important corrugated show in the Western Hemisphere.
“We also attended the TLMI Annual Meeting in Palm Beach which was a fantastic opportunity to network, show our products and hear a packed program of guest speakers from the industry. It was great to meet all the different suppliers and agents distributors and be able to learn what is needed within the industry. Thanks to all the customers that stopped by too, I know that once they have tested the Esterlam products they will be experiencing the same production and safety benefits being experienced by all the other Esterlam customers globally” says Neil. And on a fun note “A big thank you to John Baetz (Ashland Speciality), Maxime Bayzelon (ETI Converting) and Jim Defife (Constantia) for making the golf tournament such an enjoyable time too. Great team work and a fine 2nd place and fun day. Thanks for the company and golfing prowess gentlemen”
Based in the UK, the founders of Esterlam, Don & Joy Hailey, innovated and created the world’s first synthetic laminate doctor blade in the 1970’s. Today, Esterlam’s blades are used in over 100 countries world-wide.
“We need to ensure we stay on the leading edge of the corrugated and labelling industry and events such as those last week allow us to showcase our latest technology. A real chance to shine a bright spotlight on Esterlam’s unique blades for the printing industry, a big thank you to the organisers for two great events.” added Neil.
Esterlam has over 40 years’ experience in doctor blade innovation and design for all areas of printing and coating.
