Esterlam & Fox Valley Technical College Forge New Partnership

Esterlam Advanced Doctor Blades are proud to announce a new partnership with US training college Fox Valley (FVTC)

As the largest higher education system in the state, the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) is the leader in the delivery of cutting-edge, skills-based education. The system offers over 500 programs of study and supports more than 300,000 enrolments each year.

With a Head Office based in the UK, Esterlam Ltd have been working with businesses and organisations in the US for a number of years and more recently, their presence has expanded to include some of the country’s largest manufacturers and organisations.

The FVTC Printing Technologies Education Center houses wide-web, narrow-web and corrugate flexographic facilities. “We’re very proud to be one of the professional associations working with Fox Valley, helping businesses from across the country and around the world” added Neil.

Located in a region rich in printing and converting firms, Fox Valley Technical College has developed specific expertise to serve the needs of the paper, printing and converting industries.
Esterlam have been working with FVTC on educating flexo printers on how to get the best performance from their flexo presses. Esterlam’s award winning. advanced synthetic doctor and containment blades are being used in this process and giving high quality results without the dangers associated with steel blades. In addition, training seminars for flexo press operators are being run with Esterlam as both doctor and containment blades on the PCMC Avanti 50” press. “FVTC have also been running the Esterlam E10 blades on their Mark Andy P series press too,” added Neil. “ Again, results have been very successful with instant start up, elimination of ink spitting and high quality print.”

Fox Valley Training College offers more than 240 associate degree, technical diploma and certificate programs, and instruction related to 16 apprenticeship trades, in addition to providing services to business and industry. The college serves about 50,000 people annually, more than any other technical college in Wisconsin.
