Later this week the Esterlam team will be exhibiting at the World’s Leading Exhibition for Paper, Film & Foil Converting will take place from 12 – 14 March 2019, at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany.
At the 11th edition of ICE Europe, trade visitors from the international converting industry will be able to discover the latest technology trends as well as innovative production and converting processes. The most important trends at the show will be digitalisation, sustainability and individualisation as well as efficient machinery and solutions.
Due to the ongoing trend for recycling and an increasing demand for sustainable products,
the converting industry is currently undergoing a change. At the same time, individualised and high-quality products and packaging solutions are becoming ever more important. This requires innovative coating and finishing processes.
“The latest digitalisation and associated new smart technology products and packaging are so important in converting,” says Esterlam Commercial Director Neil Hailey. “Special films such as battery films, biopolymeric films, high barrier films, optical films, weatherable films and other speciality films offer functions that allow for their application in diverse areas
We cannot wait to exhibit the show and demonstrate how our latest, award winning doctor blades are keeping up with technology,” adds Neil. “One such product is our special E Series blade which is perfect for a whole range of applications from battery separators for electric vehicles to aerospace and printed electronics to flat panel displays, photovoltaics and mobile phone technology. These specially developed blades are at the forefront of new technologies.”
Utilising the latest developments in advanced polymer technology, Esterlam’s innovative E Series have improved spring characteristics giving greater consistency and control over coat weights from start to finish. “Greater control means less wastage, increased yields and improved productivity,” added Neil. “Their self-lubricated qualities mean longer blade life with abrasive ceramic and graphite applications, plus significant reductions in roller wear “
Based in the UK, Esterlam are global leaders in providing doctor blade solutions for today’s demanding printing and coating industries. Having developed the world’s first synthetic doctor blade for coating over 40 years ago, Esterlam will be exhibiting at the show Hall A5, stand 1864.
Around 430 exhibitors from 25 different countries have booked their stand space at ICE
Europe 2019. ICE Europe 2019 will take place in halls A5 and A6 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany. The 4th edition of CCE International, Europe’s only specialised trade fair for the corrugated and folding carton industry, will, once again, be held in parallel, in hall B6.
“We look forward to seeing everyone next week,” adds Esterlam Managing Director John Hailey. “We welcome everyone from ICE as well as those attending CCE.
