Momentum is building for the 40th anniversary edition of Labelexpo Europe 2019, with just three weeks to go until this landmark show opens its doors in Brussels. With over 600 exhibitors taking part in the biggest label and package printing event in the world between 24-27 September, this edition of the show is set to be its largest to date.

Over 200 of the exhibitors are new this year, and will be displaying their latest innovations to an international buyer audience of printers, suppliers, brand owners and designers.

Lisa Milburn, managing director of Labelexpo Global Series, said: “We are very much looking forward to the 40th anniversary edition of Labelexpo Europe, set to be our largest show to date. Exhibitor participation this year has been truly incredible, not only in the number of returning companies, but also the newcomers joining us for the first time. It is astonishing to think that at the first show there were just 44 exhibitors – proof of how far the industry has grown in the last four decades.”

Esterlam, the original pioneers of synthetic doctor blade technology will be showcasing again at this year’s show,” says Esterlam Commercial Director Neil Hailey.  “We will be available to discuss existing Esterlam doctor blade ranges plus new developments for the many different applications Esterlam supply in the printing and coating industries.”

The Esterlam team will have their technical experts on-site available to discuss the many production and safety benefits Esterlam blades offer including the elimination of ink spitting, elimination of roller scoring caused by steel particles, longer blade life and improved safety in the pressroom.   Neil and other personnel can discuss the different beveled and step profiles we have supplied and improved over the past 35 years and advise how these and different materials and their characteristics can improve the performance of the blades.

“With the ever increasing demands of doctor blade applications, Esterlam can discuss companies’ specific requirements,” says Neil.  “In addition to our 900+ product range, we can also develop bespoke profiles to maximise production process. Our unique blades are made from bi-axially oriented polyester which have been sourced for their engineering properties and material characteristics.”

If anyone has any doctor blade, containment blade or doctoring related questions they need answering, the Esterlam tech team will be available on Stand 7D23 throughout the show.  “We’ll be will happy to discuss anyone’s specific needs and requirements and find a solution to any problems they may be having”
